911 / Emergency Services

All legal documents

Optana is not an emergency service. It is not 911, and it is not a substitute for 911. It does not dispatch police, fire, or medical help.

If a caller may be in danger, they should hang up and call their local emergency number. Do not tell callers that Optana will send emergency services.

Any number you configure for a transfer, an after-hours forward, or an on-call ring is your responsibility. You choose those numbers, you keep them current, and you accept that a forwarded call can fail, go to voicemail, or reach the wrong person. Test them yourself.

The AI receptionist can miss an urgent word or transfer to the wrong place. Review urgent calls. Do not rely on the product alone for life-safety routing.
